Information follows for the 2011 Winter Postals:
(We are not running a postal program in 2010)
Hampden Rifle and Pistol Club takes part in the statre of Maine winter postal league. This is a NRA activity. Please click on this link (NRA Postals ) for more information.
The following events will be offered in 2011 (assuming completion of the indoor range):
Conventional Pistol: .22 cal pistol, iron or optical sights. 2 pound trigger minimum weight. This is the standard NRA match course of 30 shots fired at 50’ on the B-2 and B-3 targets.
I.S.U. Centerfire Pistol (1/2 course): .32 cal to .45 cal centerfire pistols. Iron sights only. Slow fire (aka precision) is 5 shots in 6 minutes on the B-33 target, 15 shots total. Rapid fire, (duel) is 3 seconds per shot on the B-39 target for a total of 15 shots starting each shot with the gun down at a 45 degree angle. Minimum trigger weight for centerfire gun is 3 pounds. Barrel length is limited to 6 inches. Sight radius must not exceed 6.8 inches. Normally, .45 cal. Pistols are not permitted in ISU competition. The legal caliber range is .32 to .38. To make allowances for more people to compete, the State Association has widened the caliber choices. We can do this because this is not a sanctioned match.
Both postal leagues run for 12 weeks and start on the 1st of January.
Jan 11th is the due date for the first entry.
Pine Tree State Rifle and Pistol Association Membership: (required) $15.
First event: $10
Second event $7
Make all checks payable to PTSRPA. You should be able to drop these off with either Peter or Bob L. at the range.
Match director contact information will be posted soon. (By Jan 1st, 2011)
